Here is phase 2 of the native planting area. Aaron's rock wall is really coming along nicely.
He added dirt yesterday, so I'll get that photo update soon.

These are kina random. I love this picture of Josephine just waking up after a long nap and the door knocker Aaron got in Franklin and had engraved with our house number.

The roses -- looking lovely

We finished picking crop 1 of the radishes -- aren't they perty?

I love this photo of the kids eating watermelon in the garden. It's kinda far away, but it shows how peaceful and nice our gardens are right now.

Ok, we forgot again to bring the camera to work to download the photos . . . so those are still coming.
Dad, check out this link. http://www.wccls.org/lending_library/cultural_pass/index.html
We get free passes to these places with our library card. There are some REALLY neat places. More pictures coming soon -- including the pictorial history of Aaron's rock wall.
More to come soon . . . .

Here are a few more pics from Disneyland. One of the best parts was our great hotel. I'm including a few pics from the waterpark at the hotel.

More to come soon . .

The lilacs in the backyard -- the chicks love hanging out underneath them.

Here are a couple pics of the gardens in their current states. We've got the drip set up on the veg/flower beds on timers so we don't have to worry about them getting watered.

Here is the end result -- well the inbetween stage anyway.

Here I am tearing up the front yard!

We planted the blueberry plants this weekend. We have been collecting the chicken's shaving for them -- blueberries love shavings and chicken POOP!
Here are the chicks this last weekend on a field trip outside to their favorite spot under the lilac bush. They sure are growing!

These didn't come out great, but here are the current chicken pics. I took them at 9:00 last night and my eyes were a bit blurry -- therefore, the pics are too. It was too dark to take pics of the garden, but I will tonight . . .

HI!
I'm just writing to let you know I won't be able to post the weekly chicken update photos today. We forgot to bring the camera home from work on Friday. So, look for them tomorrow.
We did bring them outside yesterday and let them run about in the grass. They behaved like real chickens for the first time -- scratching and dust bathing and such. I think they ate some dirt too. We also planted more of the garden beds and hooked up all of the irrigation, including a misting, sprinkler system for the kids to keep cool. I'll post photos tomorrow!

The chicks are growing! Here's a picture of one of them

Here are a couple photos from our weekend camping trip to Fort Stevens . . . . I had the camera set on a weird setting so not very many of them came out very nice:

a few pics from our wonderfully warm weekend.

i'm tending the flower beds and got a few things planted.

I let the chicks out for awhile to let them enjoy the sunshine. They didn't really care for it too much and were quite happy to return to the bathroom with their red light.
