I haven't posted any pics in months and specifically none of dad's visit. We didn't actually take many pics while he was here, but there are just a couple that are really nice.

These first few are of Dan's visit -- a card game and a pic from our walk through the fields.

Here are just a couple pictures of a cooking project we did yesterday. Josephine was inspired by the show "Chopped". We started out by choosing four random items for each other to include in a brunch meal. So, she chose for me . . . garlic, a can of lima beans, tapioca pearls and fresh cranberries. I know! Crazy! So, I chose for her . . . . corn tortilla chips, an egg, a potato and lime juice. You're not going to believe it -- but we made a great meal!! She made a sweet lime quickbread -- by adding sugar, flour, baking soda and salt to her lime juice and baking it -- think key lime pie in bread form! It was great! She also made omelet dish with mushrooms, broken up tortilla chips and egg and then sliced her potato to make french fries. It was all SO good.

I mixed up my can of lima beans with some of my garlic, some grated carrot, an egg, flour and salt and fried up some "fritters". I then mixed my cranberries with sugar and water to make cranberry sauce and thickened it with the tapioca pearls. Also, quite good!

Well, it was really fun and we're going to do it again. We'll post future pictures . . .

Josephine got a new haircut this weekend. She loves it!

Here are a few pics of J out shooting in the backyard. She looks pretty serious huh? She has great aim! That box with the target drawn on it didn't have a chance!

These aren't great pictures, but this is Josephine receiving her cell phone for Christmas. Perhaps she was in shock. I couldn't get the squeals to show up in the photo.

This is Josephine's Christmas performance dress, being modeled beautifully.

Ok, here is one of us heading out on our massive shopping expedition. It was really fun and we shopped till we almost dropped. The other two are of J's release of shopping energy once we arrived back home. She is bouncing on the queen bed that we stashed in the living room for movie watching.

J would want me to share these. It really explains a few things I think . . . . .

Here are some great pics of our tree hunting expedition. It was raining of course, but loads of fun.

Here are a few pictures of making our xmas tree decorations. They are kinda random and it's early so we don't look our very best, but thoughts i'd share anyway. The one with Rick and J choosing stuff to create with is in her room. It's the only pic we have so far of her new room. You can partly see the purple wall that Nana painted for her. The white one is going to be done in chalkboard paint.

Not sure if i've put these on here before or not, but they are so cute.

I believe Luna is on the left and Oatmeal is on the right. They are the newest members of our family and very sweet. They LOVE treats and to be scratched behind their ears.

Well, I haven't been having much success getting pictures on here. But maybe it's working now!

Ironically, while these are loading (which were taken before Thanksgiving), it just started snowing again right now!
